Madhuri Dixit is one of the most popular actresses of Hindi Cinema. She was born on 15 May 1967 in Mumbai, Maharastra. She established herself as a leading actress and well known dancer in Hindi Cinema in the 80s and 90s . She married Dr. Sri Ram Madhav Nene in the year 1999. Her father's name was Shankar Dixit and mother's name is Sneh Lata Dixit.
Madhuri Dixit Started her film career with the film Abodh (1984), But she did not get success from this film. After that she got success with the 1988 film Tezaab. After that her films continued to be superhit one after the other. After which she made her the highest actress of Indian cinema. Her highest grossing romantic drama films Dil(1990), Beta (1992), Hum Aapke Hain Koun(1994), and Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) Films. She won four Best Actress award at the Filmfare Awards for her performance in them. Her successful films are as follows; Ram Lakhan (1989), Tridev (1989), Thanedar (1990), Kishan Kanhiya (1990), Saajan (1991), Khalnayak (1993) and Raja (1995).
She was awarded the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for the film Devdas.
